Cleaning and Maintenance
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can help cover cleaning and home maintenance if your disability makes these tasks very difficult or impossible to manage on your own. These supports are usually part of the “Assistance with Daily Living” category in your NDIS plan.
To access them, you’ll need to have these services included in your plan, and you may need to chat with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to make sure they’re set up for you.
What’s Covered
Cleaning – Things like regular house cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, floors, windows), and sometimes even car cleaning if your disability prevents you from doing it.
Home Maintenance – Small repairs, basic modifications, and yard maintenance that keep your home safe, comfortable, and easier for you to live in.
